Petro Surf 6.0
Every year, around the longest day, air-cooled Porsches make the pilgrimage north to the island of Sylt.
An island known for its incredibly long white sandy beaches and dunes, perfect for surfing.
In its sixth year, Petro Surf remains the must-attend event for those who love air cooled Porsches, surfing, skateboarding or photography.
Limited to the number of air-cooled Porsches that you can fit on a Ferry (90 in case you are interested) the tickets sell out in 90 seconds each year.
The Warm Up
This year the festivities started at the Padborg track in Denmark for a ‘regularity’ contest; complete your laps in the closest time possible. Challenge Accepted.
The Ferry
A highlight of the event. We fill the last Rømø to List Ferry with air-cooled Porsches for the journey to Sylt, as the sun sets.
It is a sight you would not see anywhere else. We celebrate the winners of the regularity contest (0.06 seconds in case you were wondering), catch up with old friends and make new ones.
The Main Event
Saturday is for hanging out with your air-cooled friends. We meet at the beach for a beach party with a difference. For some the day starts with a visit to the car wash too.
Surfs Up
The surfing competition puts the Surf into Petro Surf. Its time and date vary depending on the best waves. With multiple heats, this is serious stuff.
Sunday Service
Breakfast at Porsche auf Sylt has become a firm fixture in the program. A chance to see your friends and catch up before the long journey home.
The Sunsets
With big skies, the sunrises and sunsets are stunning at Sylt, with the backdrop of the dunes. As the sun rises or sets air-cooled Porsches sneak out to take pictures.
